Welcome

Hello, we are Malcolm and Suzanne. We retired in 2006 at age 50 and have been perfecting our Florida lifestyle since that time. Malcolm was a CPA and business owner and I was a Human Resources Administrator when we met in Miami. We married two years after meeting, and a year later I gave birth to our daughter. Full-time mom/part-time employee was a welcome role for me. After twenty years in manufacturing, we relocated two hours North of Miami, to the Treasure Coast, for a change of pace. Malcolm made the daily commute to Miami as I held down the home front. Four years later, we sold our business and decided to retire in place. The location is ideal for retirees who want to be physically active, and have access to lifelong learning programs and volunteer work. We are within two hours of four international airports, excellent hospitals, libraries, and several universities.

In 2021, we sold our family home and downsized, including offloading a lot of stuff. Four years later, we are still trying out lifestyles. We traveled often in 2024 – 2025, but we still maintain our balanced approach to life and remain dedicated to finding our next home.

This blog reflects the shared interests and hobbies that enrich our days and provide structure and fulfillment to our constantly evolving retirement journey. I post two or three times per month, typically on a Sunday. A monthly wrap-up post summarizes how we spend time, while other posts generally are devoted to photography and travel.
