I don’t remember what year I started following Cee Neuner’s photography blog, but I know I quickly fell in love with her enthusiasm for the craft, her beautiful photographs, and her willingness to share her knowledge. Marsha Ingrao (here) and Dan Antion (here) are hosting a one-day tribute to Cee today, November 7th, on what would have been Cee’s 64th birthday.
Marsha suggested B/W photos of barns and bridges, and color photos of flowers, which were Cee’s favorite subjects. I took the picture above on a misty morning in Louisville, KY. The barn is naturally black, which complements the distillery’s color scheme on the Maker’s Mark property we visited last week.
If you would like to participate in the tribute to Cee please visit Dan and Marsha’s sites and leave a link to your blog post in the comments.
Happy Birthday, Cee, and to Dan and Marsha, who share this day.
What a lovely tribute to Cee – I remember following her blog over the years too – and possibly a link/theme thing she used to run back in the day. It all becomes a bit of a blur after a while, but so nice to remember her. Your barn photo is perfect.

Thanks, Leanne. I had a lot of photos to choose from, considering we just returned from Kentucky. I think Cee would approve.

Terri, I think she would have told me that it’s a little blown out at the top, but otherwise, good composition.

talk about quintessential Cee. This is it! Barns were number one, I think.

Definitely, she was so complimentary to all of us, but somehow she did inspire us to do more.
